Was visiting from AZ and had such a great experience at this restaurant. The food quality, and service was phenomenal. I told my server I was visiting from AZ and she brought the owner to my table who was so sweet friendly, he recommended the golden shrimp which was the most amazing shrimp I’ve ever had! The sushi was so fresh too. Will definitely be back next time I’m in town!

I've been here twice, and both times have been great! Good food and fun atmosphere. There are some vegetarian options and parking on site (just don't use the neighboring restaurant's lot for parking as they do tow). I love getting the teriyaki chicken. The grilled vegetables and fried rice is also always delicious. Everything is cooked in front of you-like any hibachi place-assuming you order something from that section. I love the miso soup that comes with the meal, as well. And it's cool that for birthdays they give out oranges with a candle. Definitely recommend reservations. It's a very popular place. There is also some seating in another section if you want the sushi bar.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. The price was affordable, and the place was clean. The waitress was super attentive, and ordered the steak and chicken combo, with everything being well seasoned and delicious. Would definitely go back for lunch.

EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! Our Sailor just graduated from basic training. They took very great care of their dress Whites for our son and the other Sailors that came with their families. They gave them extra cloth napkins to cover their uniforms without being asked. Such care. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Authentic & delicious Japanese foods, friendly service. Hanakawa’s never disappointed us. One of the best Japanese foods in Libertyville. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing experience, both hibachi and sushi. The staff were some of the most courteous and kind I've ever seen. The chef was amazing and engaging, and of course, the food was over the top amazing. 😋 100 % recommend this restaurant. 👌

Four of us visited based on reviews. We were all very pleased with the pleasant staff, great sushi/sashimi menu, and food was extraordinary. Sashimi serving size was very satisfying. When the bill came, we all agreed the price was reasonable for how much we ate and drank. We will return.
